Your own favourite scale sets. <<Back

You can put sets of any scales, intervals, interval rows or tone series (ANY object) on top of the history stack and save them on disk. Name your sets at your wish and recover them any time. Scale sets are saved in the special SCALES format and have the file extension *.STX
In Windows you may associate STX-files to the SCALES program and click the STX set file to have them immediatelly put on the stack top.
You can choose to fetch objects randomly from the data base but also from the history stack.

To save a scale set
Have your scales on the history stack top
Click Save settings on the File menu
Name your set and click OK.

To open a saved scale set
Click "Open saved settings..." on the File menu.
Choose an STX file and click OK
scroll throuhg the history stack to see the scales.
Click the History button to see all the scales in a separate window.

To randomly fetch scale objects from the history stack.
Click Settings in the Options menu.
Mark "Fetch objects from the stack".
